Busan Metropolitan City and Busan Public Agency for Social Service Hold Group Consulting on Labor Affairs for Social Service Providers

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) and the Busan Public Agency for Social Service (President Yoo Kyu-won, hereinafter “Busan Social Service Agency”) announced that they will conduct mandatory group consulting on labor affairs for small-scale social service institution workers over four days, from today (May 26) to May 29, at the meeting room of the Busan Comprehensive Social Welfare Center.

• ●The lectures will be conducted by certified labor attorneys Hwang Mi-na from Haemaru Labor Corporation and Chun Wan-ho from Yerim Labor Corporation. The consulting sessions will follow a practical Q&A format, based on questions submitted in advance by the participants.

• ●Those who did not apply in advance may still participate by registering during the event period through the Busan Social Service Agency website (busan.pass.or.kr).

This consulting session is part of the “Management Consulting for Social Service Providers” project.

• ●The purpose of this project is to enhance operational efficiency, transparency, and professionalism of social service institutions by offering various consulting programs to develop job competencies of social service workers.

• ●This year’s programs include: ▲ “Mandatory Group Consulting” (covering accounting, labor, operations, and public relations), ▲ “On-site Customized Consulting” (focused on accounting), and ▲ a “24/7 Online Consulting Board” (for labor and accounting inquiries).

In particular, the Busan Social Service Agency operates an online Q&A board to respond to labor and accounting questions from social service workers in real time.

• ●It is open to all Busan-based social service workers. The board includes a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section and a live Q&A section.

• ●The consulting board can be accessed via the Busan Social Service Agency website (busan.pass.or.kr) under Participation Corner > Labor & Accounting Consulting Board.

President Yoo Kyu-won of the Busan Social Service Agency stated, “We hope this program helps improve management efficiency and organizational capabilities at social service institutions.”

Jung Tae-ki, Director of the Busan Welfare Bureau, added, “The operational expertise of social service providers is directly linked to service quality. It is crucial to provide field-oriented support that truly helps the workers. The city will continue to expand practical and effective support programs in collaboration with the Busan Social Service Agency.”
