Busan Nakdong River Management Headquarters to Host the “2025 Nakdong Estuary Wetland Experience Event”

The Busan Nakdong River Management Headquarters (hereinafter referred to as the Headquarters) announced that it will host the “2025 Nakdong Estuary Wetland Experience Event” on June 7–8 at Eulsukdo and the Nakdong River Estuary Eco Center in celebration of the 4th Busan Environmental Education Week (June 2–8).

○ This event will feature a variety of ecological experience programs that allow participants to explore the diverse biological habitats and rich ecological scenery of the Nakdong Estuary and to discover the many features of Eulsukdo through hands-on activities.

○ In an effort to enhance public awareness of environmental protection, Busan Metropolitan City has been promoting environmental education events city-wide since 2022 and designated a special “Busan Environmental Education Week” to foster a culture of public participation in environmental learning.

The main programs include:
▲ Customized wetland experience programs
▲ Interactive booths with various activities
▲ Children’s environmental drawing contest
▲ Eulsukdo Eco Camp (overnight, 2 days and 1 night)
▲ Tour of the Wildlife Treatment Center
▲ “Eul-Forest-Trail” walking event
▲ Ecological performances

Online pre-registration for the experience programs opens today (May 26) at 10:00 AM. On-site registration will also be available.

Kim Kyung-Hee, Director of the Nakdong River Management Headquarters, stated,
“We’ve prepared a variety of experiences and attractions that allow visitors to enjoy nature in the Eulsukdo wetlands, an area that is not easily accessible in everyday life.”
She added, “We hope many citizens will participate in this event and take the opportunity to understand the importance and value of wetlands.”
