A Day to Set Down Burdens and Hardships — “2025 Teacher’s Day Childcare Staff Healing Day” Held

Mayor Park Heong-joon of Busan Metropolitan City announced that the 2025 Teacher’s Day Childcare Staff Healing Day will be held today (May 16) at 2:00 PM at the Grand Auditorium of City Hall.

The event was organized to show appreciation and respect for childcare professionals who have dedicated themselves to lovingly caring for children on the frontlines.

It is hosted and organized by President Park Ki-nam of the Busan Association of Childcare Centers, with attendance expected from key city leaders including:

• ●Mayor Park Heong-joon

• ●Chair of the Busan Metropolitan Council, Ahn Sung-min

• ●Superintendent of Education, Kim Seok-jun

Approximately 700 childcare staff are expected to attend, and the program includes:

• ●Commendation of outstanding contributors to childcare

• ●Safety education for childcare staff

• ●Celebratory performances

Certificates of commendation and appreciation will be presented to distinguished individuals who made significant contributions to the advancement of childcare over the past year.

Participants will also have time to relax and recharge through performances and celebration programs prepared for the occasion.

“As the first teachers to our children and the ones nurturing Busan’s future, it is essential that childcare teachers are happy and healthy.
That’s the only way policies like ‘Onjongil (All Day, All Yours)’ can truly be effective.
I will continue to listen attentively to the voices from the field so our teachers can work with pride and help shape the hope and future of Busan.”
