Busan Autonomous Police Policy Advisory Group Visits Social Welfare Facility for Family Month

The Busan Autonomous Police Committee, led by Chairperson Kim Cheol-jun (hereinafter “the Committee”), and the Busan Autonomous Police Policy Advisory Group, headed by Moon Ho (hereinafter “the Group”), announced that they visited Baekyang Comprehensive Social Welfare Center at 10:30 AM on May 15 to deliver comfort and support in recognition of Family Month.

This was the Group’s second public outreach activity following their participation in the 2025 Busan Children’s Day Grand Festival held at the Busan Cinema Center on May 5, where they promoted the autonomous police system and traffic safety culture.

The visit aimed to extend warm attention to marginalized social groups, who are often neglected during Family Month, and to reinforce the role of the autonomous police in actively engaging with citizens.

On this day, Chairperson Kim Cheol-jun, Group Head Moon Ho, and other advisory members delivered care packages to individuals with developmental disabilities and provided lunch-serving volunteer services for elderly users of the facility.

They also visited the group activity session for people with developmental disabilities, conveyed messages of encouragement, and delivered personalized gifts in the form of teddy bear police dolls. Subsequently, they served lunch to approximately 100 senior citizens using the facility.

A highlight of the visit was a saxophone performance of trot music by Inspector Lee Sang-won of the Busanjin Police Station during mealtime, which offered attendees a warm and emotionally soothing experience.
