A Romantic Voyage on the Suyeong River: Launch of the Starry Sea Busan River Dinner Cruise

The Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that the Starry Sea Busan River Dinner Cruise will operate regularly on the Suyeong River every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from May 9 to December 12.

The Starry Sea Busan River Dinner Cruise is a night tourism product that allows guests to dine aboard a yacht while enjoying Busan's iconic nightscape, including Gwangandaegyo Bridge and Marine City.

Since its pilot launch in August 2023, the cruise attracted over 21,000 tourists last year alone, solidifying its status as a popular night tourism attraction.

In response to high demand, the operation period has been extended from five months (July–November) last year to eight months this year (May–December).

The cruise departs from the Suyeong River APEC Naru Park Pier and offers views of the Suyeong River area and the coastal nightscape of Gwangalli. The route includes Suyeong Bridge, Gwangan Bridge, and Marine City, highlighting Busan’s symbolic landmarks.

The cruise is available in three time-slot programs:

▲ River Dinner (evening)

▲ Sunset Dinner (at sunset)

▲ Moonlight Dinner (night)

Meals include sandwiches from a renowned Busan bakery and beverages from a local coffee brand.

Every Friday during the Moonlight Dinner Cruise, passengers can enjoy live busking performances in a Moonlight Concert and fireworks under Gwangandaegyo Bridge.

Additional services include:

▲ Mariner experience where guests can briefly operate the cruise

▲ Polaroid photo sessions during sunset cruises

▲ Free photo printing service

▲ Bicycle tours around APEC Naru Park

Cruise fees vary by season and time slot, ranging from 35,000 KRW to 55,000 KRW per adult.

During May, a special launch discount of 10,000 KRW will be offered.

Meanwhile, on April 18, Busan launched the Starry Night Reporter Corps, a citizen-driven promotional team for night tourism content.

The inaugural event was held at the Haeundae River Cruise Pier and featured practical training, such as a writer’s lecture and night content creation.

The Starry Night Reporter Corps consists of 10 members, who will be active until December. Their role includes:
