Jeonggwan Museum to Host Children’s Day Event “Museum Enchanted by Magic”

Jeonggwan Museum, part of the Busan Museum system, announced that it will host a Children’s Day event titled “Museum Enchanted by Magic” on May 5.

Children’s Day began in 1923 when Bang Jeong-hwan (1899–1931), a member of the children’s welfare organization Saekdonghoe, designated May 1 as Children’s Day to foster a sense of national identity among children. After Korea’s liberation in 1945, the date was changed to May 5 and has been celebrated annually since.

This year’s Children’s Day event will feature magician Choi Ian, who rose to fame through the SBS global magic audition show The Magic Star. The program will include a magic show and balloon art performance designed for children.

Venue	Jeonggwan Museum Outdoor Yard
Attendance	200 visitors accompanied by children
Program	Magic show and balloon art performance

The event will take place outdoors at the museum yard from 2:00 PM on May 5 and is free of charge for all visitors accompanied by children.

○ In case of rain, the event will be moved to the auditorium. In such case, audience capacity will be limited according to available seating.
