Busan Expands Gift List for 2025 Hometown Love Donation Program Massive Giveaway Event Launched to Celebrate

□ The Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Heong-joon) announced that six new gift items and six new suppliers have been selected for the 2025 Hometown Love Donation Program.

○ Final selections were made during the “Busan Metropolitan City Gift Selection Committee” meeting held on April 28.
○ Suppliers were evaluated based on understanding of the program, product composition and price appropriateness, operational capability, quality control, and contribution to the local economy.

□ Notably, the flower gift set from Bukyeong Horticultural Agricultural Cooperative has been highlighted as a thoughtful option for May family holidays, such as Parents' Day and Teachers' Day.
Donors can choose bouquets priced at KRW 15,000 or KRW 30,000, supporting local flower farms as well.

□ To commemorate the new additions, the city is hosting a special event from May 1 to June 30 titled the "Massive Giveaway Event!", for donors who contribute to “Busan Metropolitan City (City Hall).”

□ Donors contributing KRW 100,000 or more in a single donation will receive two standard benefits and three bonus prize opportunities.

○ Two standard benefits:
➊ 100% tax deduction for up to KRW 100,000 donated
➋ A thank-you gift worth 30% of the donation

○ Three bonus prizes:
➊ For every 5th donor (e.g., 5th, 10th, 15th… up to 5,000th): up to 500 people will receive either a mobile coffee coupon or KRW 10,000 in Dongbaekjeon, based on preference
➋ For every 10th donor (e.g., 10th, 20th, 30th… up to 5,000th): up to 495 people will receive one of the following (valued at KRW 30,000): Korean pork belly (1.7kg), Nakgopsae (serves 4), or Byeolbit Sand Cookies (14 pcs)
➌ For every 1,000th donor (e.g., 1,000th, 2,000th… up to 5,000th): up to 5 people will win a luxury stay at a five-star Haeundae hotel (usable even in peak season)

□ A total of 1,000 bonus prize winners will be selected among the first 5,000 donors.
Winners will be announced on July 10 via the city’s official website (www.busan.go.kr/nbnews) and through individual SMS notifications.

○ If a person wins multiple prizes, only the prize with the highest value will be awarded.
(Example: If a donor qualifies for both the KRW 10,000 coupon and the KRW 30,000 food gift, only the KRW 30,000 prize will be given.)

□ The standard thank-you gifts are provided by 48 local suppliers offering more than 110 products, available through the Hometown Love e-Eum donation portal.

○ Gifts include: juicy tomatoes, Lee Heung-yong bakery vouchers, baked snack sets, beef and pork, Dongbaekjeon, Haeundae luxury hotel stays and buffet vouchers, city tour passes, beach train tickets, spa vouchers, seaweed, anchovies, coffee, seafood soup kits, red ginseng, fish cakes, mackerel, pollack roe, rice, natural leather wallets, and more.

□ Busan plans to use donation funds collected through the program by the end of this year for meaningful public benefit projects — such as supporting underprivileged groups, youth development and protection, cultural and health services, community building, and welfare enhancements — to give back to society.
