10 Public Libraries in Busan to Host “Writer Yu Hong-jun’s Room” Exhibition

□ Busan Library announced that from today (May 1) to September 18, it will host the “Writer Yu Hong-jun’s Room” exhibition at ten public libraries across Busan, including Busan Library itself. The exhibition will feature the author’s personal collection and written works.

○ The ten selected libraries will showcase 24 exhibition items, including the author’s books and photographs, offering citizens a valuable opportunity to experience cultural heritage and arts more deeply.

○ Yu Hong-jun is a prominent author known for his profound insight into cultural heritage, having published numerous works. His representative book, My Exploration of Cultural Heritage, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. The exhibition aims to provide insight into his creative process and inspire interest in Korea’s cultural legacy.

□ To give Busan citizens a deeper look into the author’s life and work, the exhibition will rotate through regional libraries with rental support provided by Busan Library.

○ From May to June, the exhibition will be held at the following libraries:
▲ Geumgok Library (2nd Floor Lobby)
▲ Geumsaem Library (1st Floor Geumsaem Gallery)
▲ Haeundae Library (1st Floor Lobby)
▲ Busan Library (2nd Floor Exhibition Room)
▲ Yeonje Library (1st Floor Lobby)

○ From July to September, it will continue at:
▲ Simin Library (2nd Floor Lobby)
▲ Bansong Library (3rd Floor Lobby)
▲ Dong-gu Library (1st Floor Lobby)
▲ Jurye Open Library (1st Floor Stair Plaza)
▲ Haeundae Humanities Library (Basement Level 1 Lobby)

In addition, each library will host various cultural programs linked to the exhibition.

○ Exhibition items include:
▲ First edition of Yoo Hong-jun’s My Exploration of Cultural Heritage
▲ Photographs from heritage exploration sites
▲ Hanging scrolls
▲ A fan set, and more

These displays will provide visitors with a rich visual experience.
