Busan to Host the 52nd Children's Day Grand Festival on May 5, 2025

Busan Metropolitan City announced that the 52nd Busan Children’s Day Grand Festival will take place on May 5, 2025 (Sun) from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at and around the Busan Cinema Center.

This annual festival is organized to celebrate Children’s Day (May 5) and Children’s Week (May 1–7), offering a joyful space for children and their families.

It is co-hosted by Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Metropolitan Office of Education, Busan Ilbo, and the Busan Cinema Center, and co-organized by Busan Ilbo and ChildFund Korea.

This year’s event is themed around the first birthday celebration of “Mamba,” the Children’s Day mascot first introduced last year.

Under the slogan, “Creating Tomorrow Together, a Village Where Children Are Happy,” the festival will be held across six themed villages:

• ●Starlight Village: Outdoor stage with bubble & balloon shows, talk shows with kid creators, random dance competitions, and other performances.

• ●Sky Village: Sing-along and magic shows inside Sky Theater, including “The Haunted House Sing-Along Show.” (Advance registration required)

• ●Colorful Village: Pet-friendly programs and a charity market in front of Double Cone.

• ●Happy Village: Career experience exhibitions, board games, and face painting near the outdoor stage.

• ●Healthy Village: Public safety demonstrations and experience booths (motorcycle ride-along, child rights campaigns, etc.) hosted by local agencies including the Fire & Disaster Headquarters, Autonomous Police Committee, Child Protection Center, and others.

• ●Sweet Village: Food trucks near Biff Hill will offer treats for children and families to enjoy together.
