2025 Busan Cadastral Survey Competition Held

The Busan Metropolitan City announced that the 2025 Busan Cadastral Survey Competition was held on April 29 at Bukhang Waterside Park.

The Cadastral Survey Competition is a practical contest where cadastral survey officials from the city’s 16 districts and counties form one team per district/county, and are evaluated on how quickly and accurately they can complete given survey tasks within a set timeframe.

Held annually, the competition aims to enhance the skills of cadastral officials, improve their field survey inspection capabilities, and ultimately prevent boundary disputes and provide citizens with accurate cadastral survey results.

This year marks the 7th edition of the competition.

A total of 16 teams and approximately 80 participants were evaluated on their performance in assigned survey tasks, including compliance with survey procedures, and equipment operation skills.

As a result, the top prize was awarded to Gijang-gun, while Haeundae-gu and Yeongdo-gu received excellence awards.

The winning team from Gijang-gun will represent Busan in the 2025 National Land Information Challenge – Cadastral Drone Survey Competition, to be held in Busan on May 15–16, hosted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.

Min Soon-ki, Director General of Busan’s Urban Spatial Planning Bureau, stated,

“We will continue hosting this competition to strengthen the capabilities and expertise of our officials, and strive to provide trustworthy land administration services to our citizens.”
