‘Busan Air Cruise’ to Open at Songdo Beach on June 21

The Songdo marine cable car, restored after 29 years, will be operating again under the brand new name, Busan Air Cruise. In order to revive the old reputation of Busan’s Songdo Beach, the first public beach in Korea, a total of 66.5 billion won is being spent on the restoration project and will open on June 21 under the new name of Busan Air Cruise. (Opening Ceremony on June 20)
A total 39 cable cars with the capacity to hold 8 people will run for 1.62 kilometers from Songnim Park on the east side of the beach to Amnam Park on the west side. Crystal cruise with 13 cable cars with a transparent floor will give riders a thrilling experience.
The cable car runs 86 meters above the sea and offers great views of Amnam Park, Namhang and the Yeongdo coastline. The night view around Songdo Beach is also magnificent.
The cable car operates daily year-round. The hours and the cost of the ticket are provided below. One-way travel time takes up to 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
Songdo Doppelmayr World Museum located at Songdo Sky Park (upper station of the cable car) in Amnam Park opens to the public as the first cable car museum in Korea.
