The Consulate of Mongolia in Busan has moved to a larger facility in Haeundae from Beomcheon-dong in Busanjin-gu due to the recent increase in cooperative exchanges between Busan and Mongolia.

The Mongolian consulate first opened in Busanjin-gu, in Febuary of last year. Busan City has increased friendly cooperation with Mongolia in various areas since its opening. Ulaanbaatar-Busan direct flights were launched by Air Busan last June and Busan Mayor Suh Byung-soo visited Ulaanbaatar and established a friendship city relationship with Ulaanbaatar last August. In January 2017, Secretary General of Mongolian People’s Party J.Munkhbat and governors of the 21 aimags (provinces) of Mongolia visited Busan.

The Mongolian Consulate is relocated to the 5th floor of the Haechun Building, 11, Haeun-daero 774beon-gil, Haeundae-gu (near Jangsan Metro Station) and is open from Monday through Friday, 10 am to 4 pm.

The consulate issues Mongolian visas and promotes cooperation with Busan. It has jurisdiction over Busan, Ulsan, Daegu, Gyeongsangnam-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, and Jeollanam-do.

It is the 5th consulate to be established in Busan after Japan, Russia, the People's Republic of China, and the United States.
