Haeundae-gu Office will build a Skywalk Observatory at Cheongsapo, Haeundae. The Skywalk will give the thrill of walking on the sea. The plan has been in the works since 2009 as part of the Happy Urban Fishing Village Construction Project. As part of the project, Haesong pedestrian bridge, a village hall and a craft shop were completed and the skywalk observatory will be the ultimate accomplishment of the project.

The skywalk which is 20 meters above the sea level and runs 70 meters along the sea, will be built in the shape of a blue dragon, the Cheongsapo village’s guardian, at the tip of the coastal line at the retired Donghae Nambu railway line from Cheongsapo to Songjeong.

Visitors will be able to see the ocean under their feet, through the transparent half moon shaped floor installed at the end of the skywalk. The photo zone and night illumination will be installed as well.

The skywalk plans to be completed at the end of the year with a total cost of 4.3 billion won.

Cheongsapo, one of the 12 scenic attractions in Haeundae, has fascinating coastal views and has been a popular sunrise and sunset watching spot.

Haeundae-gu Office plans to build walking course at Cheongsapo, which will be completed in 2018 with cost of 0.6 billion won. In addition, it will also operate cultural and art programs and other facilities.
