The Korea Internet & Digital Entertainment Association (K-IDEA) announced on February 16th that Busan was officially selected as the host city for the next G-Star event.

G-Star is an annual global game exhibition that started in 2005 and has become the largest of its kind in Korea. Busan has been hosting G-Star for 8 consecutive years since 2009. Including this year’s selection, the exhibition will stay in Busan from 2017 to 2020.

Busan was selected as the site of the event for its outstanding infrastructure for the exhibition, previous successes and expertise from hosting G-Star for the last 8 years, and the city’s strong wish to host the next G-Star. Busan was the only city to participate in the bid.
