Busan Branch of the National Assembly Library Design Selected

The design plan on a three-dimensional picture of the Busan branch of the National Assembly Library has been selected.
The National Assembly hosted the design plan presentation for the Busan branch of the National Assembly Library at Busan City Hall on February 3rd and listened to citizens’ ideas.
The three story Busan branch of the National Assembly Library building will be built on a total area of 13,708 square meters in the neighborhood park in Myeongji International City. The design plan of the branch library was selected through an open competition last December. The design, symbolizing the history of the Joseon Dynasty and the main national assembly building, is highly acclaimed for its modernization of traditional style.
The basic and final design of the library will be completed in October 2017. Its construction will begin in April 2018 and completed by the end of 2020. It plans to open to the public in February 2021.
