A
look at short films “UP CLOSE”, the beautiful moments in our lives.
“The
Hub of Asian Short Films”, Busan International Short Film Festival unveiled
this year’s poster.
Taking
place between April 25th and 30th, the 34th Busan
International Short Film Festival produced its official poster based on the
photography Hello Stranger by KIM Hyungwook.
Backwoods
explorer and photographer KIM Hyungwook won the Grand Prize at the National
Geographic Photography Contest in 2009, and continues to showcase his works
though group and personal exhibitions. With the goal of building thousands of
libraries, he is active in various cultural exchange activities throughout
remote villages in India, Pakistan, Nepal, and mountain villages in Korea.
Photographer
KIM Hyungwook’s Hello Stranger leaves room for reflection depending on the
viewer’s perspective, either as a child’s curious outlook into the world, or a
frightened view into a strange world.
The
official poster of Busan International Short Film Festival is an expression of
the Busan International Short Film Festival’s wish to share “UP CLOSE”, the
compact but powerful reflective beauty of short films with an audience still
unfamiliar with short films.
The
34th Busan International Short Film Festival poster can be viewed at BISFF
official website (www.bisff.org) and at the photographer’s homepage (http://www.worldedge.kr/)
