Dadaepo Beach Park winner of the Korean Landscape Architectural Award

Dadaepo Beach Park in Saha-gu, Busan has won the 8th Korean Landscape Architectural Award from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport in the green park category.
The Korean Landscape Architectural Award, as the nation’s top award in the field of landscaping, aims to make the country beautiful, cultivate the urban environment and promote the importance of landscapes to the public by raising public and private sector concerns and investment in landscapes.
About 50,000 trees planted on the 130,000 square meter sand beach, walking path and lawn for residences were established as part of the plan for the Dadaepo Beach restoration project from 2008 to 2015.
Visitors can enjoy the ‘Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams’ music show and explore natural wetlands at Dadaepo Beach.
During the summer peak season in July and August, 5,670,000 tourists visited Dadaepo beach this year.
Various events, including Dadaepo Beach market, Dadaepo Beach music concert, 7080 family concert, welfare expo and residence sports event, take place throughout the year on the green fields near the beach. Dadapo Beach has become a tourist attraction all year round.
