Jin
Jong-oh (KT shooting team) took the gold medal in the men’s 50-meter pistol at
the Rio de Janeiro Olympics on August 10, 2016.
Busan Mayor Suh Byung-soo sent a special congratulatory message to Jin
Jong-oh and his family.
Jin
Jong-oh competed at the 2004, 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics as a sports
shooter.
He
won silver in the event at the 2004 Athens Games, the gold and silver medal at
the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing and the gold medal in the men’s 10 meter
air pistol at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. With his gold medal at the
Rio games, he becomes the first ever shooter, men’s or women’s, to win three
straight gold medals in a single shooting event.
