Staring with Press Day on June 2, and the Opening Ceremony on June 3, the 2016 Busan International Motor Show (BIMOS 2016) will be held at BEXCO in Busan for 11 days through June 12.

The auto show, which first convened as the inaugural exhibition for BEXCO in 2001, is held biennially as part of the effort to promote the regional automotive industry and galvanize the local economy. The show has become an ultra-large scale event that routinely attracts more than one million visitors.

Under the theme of "Future wave, inspiring technology," this year's expo will attract a total of 25 global brands that will put about 230 vehicles on display. Among them, there are five world premieres of 4 brands (namely, Hyundai Motor Co., Genesis, Kia Motors Corp., MAN Truck). There are also two Asian premiere cars by Kia and GM Korea and 30 Korean premieres of 15 Korean and foreign brands including Renault Samsung, BMW, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volkswagen, Toyota, Cadillac, Audi, Lincoln and Maserati.

This year’s International and Domestic Premieres at the BIMS 2016 are not going to be revealed until the Press Day on June 2.
