Busan Metro Promotes the BIFF and Busan Choral Festival & Competition

The Busan Transportation Corporation announced that it will operate a ‘BIFF Train’ during the 2013 Busan International Film Festival and a ‘Sing Sing Train’ during the 2013 Busan Choral Festival & Competition to promote the festivals taking place in Busan in October.    

 

To bolster Busan’s reputation as a city known for its cinema, two of the trains running on metro line 2 travelling to Centum City and Haeundae will wrap one car with BIFF themes and designs. Inside, the cars will also be decorated with a red carpet and posters of films being screened at the festival.  

 
 

The BIFF train will run 24 times daily, and a total of 240 times from October 2 ? 11, 2013. 

During the 2013 Busan Choral Festival & Competition being held from October 16-19, 14 teams from seven different countries will participate and offer performances at various metro stations around the city as well as inside several metro trains on October 15 and 16 for two days.  

 

The choirs will perform in the waiting areas of Nopodong, Seomyeon, Kyungsung Univ. · Pukyong Nat'l Univ., and Centum City metro stations starting from 1pm to 2pm on October 15 and 16.   

The choirs performing at Nopo-dong and Centum City Stations will also board the metro and hold a special choir concert inside the train while travelling to Dongnae, Seomyeon and Kyungsung Univ. · Pukyong Nat'l Univ. stations.      

 

Some of the participating choirs include: Bataan PCC from the Philippines, Huangshan Chorus of Shushan District Hefei from China, Taipei Youth from Taiwan, Zvonnitsa from Russia, Regalo Tokyo from Japan and Voce Chamber Choir from England and many more.
