Busan Premium Outlets located in Jwadong-ri Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun opened on September 29, 2013.
Shinsegae Simon, a joint-venture between Shinsegae Group and Simon Property Group, Inc. has opened its third Premium Outlet Center in Republic of Korea after Yeoju and Paju.
The new outlet features 180 outlet stores, including luxury fashion brands and casual living and outdoor brands, on 33,259 square meters of retail space within a 154,663 square-meter site. The distinctive architectural design of the location was also inspired by the Tuscany region of Italy.
The outlet is open from 10 a.m.- 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.- 9 p.m. Friday through Sunday and on public holidays.
How to get there by local bus: Take Bus No. 37, 182, 188, 1008, Gijang Village/Neighborhood Bus No. 8 and get off at the Busan Premium Outlets Bus Stop.
The site is located about a five minute drive away from Jangan Interchange on the Busan-Ulsan Expressway, about 23km north from Haeundae, Busan. This is about 45km south from Ulsan and 90km south from Daegu. The outlet center is expected to become another reason for shoppers from Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Vladivostok to visit the city.
To create win-win relationships with the local community, the outlet center is making efforts to create jobs for about 1,200 local employees and has appointed Busan Bank as its primary bank. It has also agreed to open a local specialty store and five Busan-based restaurants in the outlet, as well as place two billion won in a scholarship fund for deserving applicants in the Gijang-gun area.
