The festival where you can see world cultures coming together in one place will once again be held in Busan. The BFIA is holding its ’2012 Global Gathering’ at the APEC Naru Park in Haeundae, on October 20th, from 10am to 5pm. It is one of the most popular world culture festivals in Busan, and has taken place every year since 2006. Around 80 communities from 34 countries will take part in this year’s event. The official opening ceremony will be at 11:30am, but the festival starts at 10am and finishes at 5pm.
You can experience world culture through various booths being operated by the Guatemalan, South African, and German Embassies, as well as many of the foreigners’ communities in Busan. There will also be various things to see and experience such as traditional performances by troupes from Busan’s sister cities, including Fukuoka, Shanghai and Vladivostok, as well as a traditional costume experience zone, displays of paintings by international foreign school students, and two raffle prize draws.
