The famous Beomeosa temple in Geumjeong District is dropping its admission fees from this year.
Busan City announced that it has decided to abolish admission fees to the temple in Busan, for local and foreign visitors. Beomeosa temple had charged 1,000 won ($1.20) for adults, 700 won ($0.85) for students, and 500 won ($0.75) for children. The temple boasts many cultural treasures, including the front gate Iljumun, a main temple, a three-story pagoda, and the early edition of Samgukyusa, a memorabilia of the Three Kingdoms.
