BJFEZ sponsored “EUCCK Cruise Network Club”

July 1, 2011 - The Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone sponsored on July 1st the “EUCCK Cruise Network Club,” organized by the EUCCK Busan on the “Nurimaru,” a 19th-century Dutch-style cruise ship to enhance the EU businesses’ understanding on BJFEZ development projects and future plans aiming at increased investments from the EU in the Zone. Falling on the date when the Korea-EU Free Trade Agreement went into effect, the networking event was all the more meaningful.
A total of 70 people from the EU and the BJFEZ were aboard the cruise ship including
Representative Director Mr. Roger BOGER at Pleiger Far East LCC., and BFEEZ’s Commissioner Mr. HA Myeng-keun.
At the congratulatory remarks Commissioner Ha noted, “At an era of the Korea-EU FTA, we
sincerely hope that more enterprises from Europe will find their way into the BJFEZ following those from the same area like Renault-Samsung Motors, SKF, Balzers, Hatlapa, Jotun, Premech, Tox and Bouygues. He also stressed “The FEZ is armed with generous financial incentives and ready to
provide any assistance to ensure the success of foreign operations in the FEZ.”
On the balmy July evening participants enjoyed the beautiful ocean view of Busan and Gwangan Bridge(or Diamond Bridge), boosting their friendship and partnership.
