Fountain shows attract performing arts

This summer, fountains in Busan will transform into cultural art spaces. Fountain shows will cool us down in the heat of summer, while concerts, performances and exhibitions held every day of the season will bring more enjoyment to places with public fountains like Busan Station Square Fountain, Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams, and the artificial cascade, floor fountain and musical fountain at Songdo Beach.

The fountain at Busan Station Square is located at one of the main gateways of the city. A state-of-the-art music fountain show with a variety of cultural performances will please tourists and Busan citizens alike. Cultural performances take place every Tuesday through Saturday at 6:30 p.m. until the middle of October. A variety of performances including saxophone, dance, music, magic, guitar, and traditional plays are scheduled, and juggling and bubble shows will be performed in July as well. Fountain shows with colorful lights and beautiful music will be followed after the cultural performance.

Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams performs once or twice daily every Tuesday through Sunday until the end of November. The fountain’s water jets dance to a wide variety of music and colorful illuminations.
To generate a pleasant environment for the spectators, a 98 meter long viewing deck has been installed for visitors who eager to get the best view of the water shooting 55 meters into the air. In addition, a water rock concert is scheduled to take place 40 times this year until the end of October.

The artificial cascade, floor fountain and musical fountain in Songdo Beach will operate from June 1^st, the opening date of the beach swimming season.

Dadaepo Sunset Fountain of Dreams
- Summer (May ~ August): 8 p.m. on weekdays, 8 p.m./9 p.m. on weekends
- Fall (September ~ November): 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, 7 p.m./8 p.m. on weekends

Musical Fountain at Songdo Beach
- June, September ~ October: 8 p.m./9 p.m.
- July ~ August: 8:30 p.m. / 9:30 p.m.
