Good low-priced accommodation in Haeundae area to be promoted

Haeundae-gu District has selected six accommodation providers which offer excellent facilities, customer services and sanitary conditions in a foreigner-friendly way, and has designated them as “For&B-Tels”. The Haeundae For&B-Tel is a term combined from the words foreign, business and hostel, meaning an accommodation in the Haeundae area which domestic and overseas visitors will be equally happy to stay at, thanks to the reasonable fees and good services.

Currently, eight tourist hotels and 260 accommodations are located in the Haeundae area. As the number of tourists and visitors coming to Haeundae increases, low- and mid-priced accommodations with good facilities and services have been continuously in demand in the Haeundae area.

Accommodations designated as For&B-Tels, located in Jung-dong and U-dong in Haeundae, received excellent scores for their lobby service, foreigner-friendly services, business services including fax, printer and internet usage, and sanitary conditions. 

Haeundae-gu will promote their For&B-Tels through the district website. Haeundae's local district newspaper, tourist maps and tourism brochures will financially support up to 70 percent of facility improvement costs of up to 5 million won. The For&B-Tel designation will be effective for 2 years and will be reevaluated every year. If accommodations designated as For&B-Tel violate the regulations more than three times a year, their designation as For&B-Tels will be cancelled.
