Busan selected to host OMAE in 2016

Busan City has been selected to host the 35th International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OMAE) in 2016, following concerted efforts by Busan City, the Ministry of Knowledge Economy, Pusan National University, the Korea Shipbuilders' Association, Busan Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the BEXCO, to attract OMAE. 

The Ship and Offshore Research Institute in Pusan National University announced that Busan City had been selected to host the 35th International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OMAE 2016) during the OMAE 2012 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in June.

OMAE 2012 is the ideal forum for researchers, engineers, managers, technicians and students from scientific and industrial communities around the world to meet and present advances in technology and scientific support, as well as exchanging ideas and experiences whilst promoting technological progress and its application in industry, and promoting international cooperation in ocean, offshore and arctic engineering.
