Korean Culture Experience Program

The Busan Foundation for International Activities is offering a “Korean Culture Experience Program” for foreign residents in Busan in order to help them understand and learn about Korean culture.  Wouldn’t it be great to experience the diversity of Korean culture and make beautiful memories in Busan?

 


◆ Overview

○ Period: August - December 2006 (once a month), 10:00-12:00

○ Participants: Approx. 30 people

○ Open To: All Foreign Residents in Busan

○ Location: Busan Foundation for International Activities (1F in City Hall)

○ Fees: Free

 

 Schedule
8. 19 (Sat) : Korean Paper Craft - Use Korean paper to create jewelry boxes and stationery
9. 23 (Sat) : Traditional Knots - Learn to make the traditional knots that are widely used in
Korea
10. 28 (Sat) : Janggu and Gayageum -Learn to play the Janggu and Gayageum, traditional Korean instruments, and to sing Minyo, Korean traditional songs
11. 25 (Sat) : Traditional Masks Making- Make traditional Korean masks that reflect
Korea’s happiness, sorrow, and humor
12. 9 (Sat) : Kimchi Making- Try making Kimchi, an integral part of
Korea’s food culture (Kimchi is usually prepared in quantity prior to every winter)
