BPA establishes the state-of-the-art information system at Busan Port

Busan Port Authority (BPA) established a comprehensive information system which enables to monitor vessel arrival and departure, vessel movement, berth control, cargo movement, etc.

 

BPA held a meeting on July 19 to brief about the first stage of comprehensive information system.

 

The first stage of this project was commenced last October aiming to enhance Busan Port's competitiveness, productivity, and efficiency by utilizing the highly advanced IT technology.

 

The system allows shipping lines, shippers, and Busan Port's customers to monitor Busan Port's operation and cargo statistics and other information relating to Busan Port. 

 

In particular, CRM(Customer Relations Management) is embodied in the information system allowing systematic management of customers and strengthening BPA's service for its customers.

 

The comprehensive information system will be pursued by 2009 consistently and Jae Hak Park, a director of Information Team from BPA, said that the information system of BPA will offer customer tailored service, adding BPA will make utmost efforts to provide the world's best port service.
