The Busan Transportation Corporation is making it easier for passengers to enjoy a bit of the beach each day as it has installed beach murals in one of its metro trains.
The sixth car on one of its trains running on Metro line 2 has been decorated with images of sandy beaches, waves, parasols and beachgoers. As this is a test run for the project, murals have only been installed in one car but plans are in the works to expand the project next year to include various themes.
Eager beachgoers looking to go to Gwangalli Beach should go to Gwangan Station located on Metro line 2. The station itself has also been covered with various beach themed spaces from the lobby to the exits including welcoming images on stairs and pillars, decorative guides, and a surf photo zone.
The Busan Transportation Corporation is also planning to create various themed cars for national holidays, festivals or events. Designs being considered include a Gwangbok Train, a BIFF Train, a Sing Sing Train, an ITU Train, and a Snow Flake Train.
