A public outdoor swimming pool will open at Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Deokcheon-dong, Buk-gu from July 1 through August 31. The 10,000 square-meter facility will be operated by the Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office.
The site includes a 2,500 square-meter adult-only pool, a 300 square-meter children-only pool, a “Lazy River” as well as changing rooms, parasols, restrooms, lockers, shaded areas and a medical room for swimmers’ safety.
To offer greater convenience to visitors, operating hours have been extended this year and the pool will be open every day from July 1.
Opening hours are from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. The price is 4,000 won for adults, 3,000 won for youths and 2,000 won for children.
Visitors must wear a swimsuit and swimming cap while in the pool and parents must accompany their children in the water. Guests are permitted bring food from outside as long as it does not create any waste.
Visitors should also note that the pool may be closed unexpectedly due to inclement weather conditions.
How to get there: Take Metro Line No. 2 to Sujeong Station then leave by Exit No. 3, or take Bus No. 15, 59, 111, 121, 126 or 1009 and get off at Sujeong Station.
