Busan Metropolitan City is hosting the 15th Busan Tourism Photo Contest to promote Busan as a beautiful and dynamic city.

Subject Matter

· Any scenes promoting Busan’s beauty are eligible for submission.

· Entries may include: scenes of the natural environment, traditional culture, architecture, performances, festivals, religion, life style, foods, Busan Harbor Bridge, Gwangan Bridge Laser Show, Busan Citizen Park, Song Sang-hyeon Square, Yeongdo Bridge, and Gamcheon Culture Village.

* If submitted photos are considered to be too similar to photos entered by previous contest winners, you are likely to lose your points.

Eligibility and Application

· The contest is open to anyone.

· Each photo should be an unmounted print measuring 11 inches by 14 inches without edges.

· Negatives, slide films, and digital photos are required but not to be stuck on a panel.

· This contest is for color photographs only.

· Up to 6 entries are allowed per person.

· Photos should have been taken after January 2013 and have never been previously submitted to other contests.

· The entry fee is KRW 20,000 per person

· The contest begins July 1, 2014 and ends July 29, 2014 (all submissions must arrive by 6 p.m. on July 29).

Submission

· Please affix the following information to the back of each photo: title, date and place that the photograph was taken, name, postal code, phone number and address of the artist.

· Both digital and film photography should be submitted.

- For film photography, original versions of the negatives and slide films must also be submitted.

- For digital photography, submit a compact disc containing two files ？ the original version (4,000x3,000 pixels) without any alterations and an altered version for printing purposes (jpeg)

· All entries should be submitted to the Photo Artist Association of Korea Busan Chapter (PASKBS)

Contest Prizes

· 1 Grand Prize: KRW 3,000,000 & certificate of award from the Mayor of Busan Metropolitan City

· 1 First Prize: KRW 2,000,000 & certificate of award from the President of PASKBS

· 1 Second Prize: KRW 1,000,000 & certificate of award from the President of Korea Tourism Organization

· 3 Third Prizes: KRW 300,000 & certificate of award from the President of PASKBS

· 5 Fourth Prizes: KRW 200,000 & certificate of award from the President of PASKBS

· 80 Participation Prizes: KRW 100,000 & certificate of award from the President of PASKBS (within 30% of all the entries)

Judging and Exhibition

· Date: Thursday 31 August, 2014, Grand Conference Hall, Busan Metropolitan City Hall (open judgment)

· Announcement: Friday 1 August, 2014, on PASKBS website www.paskbs.com

· Award ceremony: Sunday 14 September, 2014, 11:00, BEXCO Exhibition hall during the Busan International Travel Fair

· Exhibition: September 12-15, 2014 (4 days), Busan International Travel Fair, BEXCO

Important advisory

· If the winning entries are found to have been submitted under someone else’s name, or to have won other contests, or are found to be unoriginal, counterfeit, composite, or modified, all prizes will be forfeited, and the entrant will be barred from submitting works to the Busan Tourism Photo contest for three years.

· The winning entries will be exhibited and displayed in a work book as well as in domestic and international promotional materials.

· All winning submissions become the property of Busan Metropolitan City and the Korea Tourism Organization including the right on derivative works, and may be provided to a third party.

* Winners should submit a contract to hand over property rights. All documents will be mailed on August 4. In case of failure to submit required documents, all prizes will be forfeited.

· Entrants should be careful not to infringe on any pertaining rights including portrait rights of a third person, moral rights, and economic rights. In the case of conflict, entrants assume full criminal and civil responsibility for any problems associated with the above mentioned rights and may be punished by law.

· In selecting winning entries, extra points are given to members of the Photo Artist Association of Korea (PASK)

· All submissions except winning entries will be returned by mail along with a book of winning entries (however, entries from those in Busan should be personally redeemed from the PASKBS office within 10 days of the end of the exhibition). Unclaimed entries will be lef t at the disposal of the PASKBS.
