Busan City established as friendship city with Beijing

Busan City established a friendship and cooperation city relationship with Beijing to strengthen ties of friendship and to expand mutual understanding through exchanges in areas including city construction and management, culture (film, art, education and youth), tourism and finance.

 

Busan City mayor Hur Nam-sik and Beijing mayor Wang Anshun signed the friendship and cooperation agreement on August 14 at Beijing City Hall.

 

With its 20.18 million population, Beijing is the second largest Chinese city after Shanghai and is the nation's political, economic, cultural, and educational center.

 

Busan City currently has 26 sister cities and six friendship cities. Beijing is Busan’s 6th friendship city, while Busan is Beijing’s first friendship city.
