The Busan Foundation for International Activities is seeking participants for the 2013 Foreigners' Korean Language Competition to be held on October 2 from 2-5p.m. at the Main Auditorium of Busna City Hall. Contestants should be confident speakers of Korean and must be foreigners residing in Busan recommended by universities, foreign school or related institutions and organizations.
The competition will be divided into speaking and performance categories. In the speaking contest, applicants can choose any subject for three-minute speech in Korean. In the performance category, teams of up to five persons present a five-minute dialogue, dramatic skit, musical, TV show parody or comedy sketch. Previous first prize-winners of the Foreigners’ Korean Language Competition (2006-2012) are not eligible to enter the competition. Applications must be submitted by September 13 and include a copy of their presentation material.
The grand prize winner will receive 1 million won, the two second prize winners 600,000 won each and three third prize winners 400,000 won each.
