From May, traditional folk performances will once again be held every weekend at Yongdusan Park from 3 p.m. – with the Traditional Folk Performance on Saturdays and ‘Uri Garak, Uri Madang’ on Sundays until this October.

Busan City and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will co-host the free Saturday traditional folk performances and the Busan Cultural Foundation will organize the event featuring traditional folk performances including the Nongak, Fan Dance, Pan Gut, Suyeong Yaryu, Namsadang Nori, Chitadae, and Goseong O-gwangdae (five-clown masked dance) for the enjoyment of domestic and foreign tourists and Busan citizens alike.

This free Saturday traditional folk performance is designated as one of the 20 regular Saturday cultural programs by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

A total of 20 performances will be featured until this fall except for during the months of July and August.

Another regular traditional folk performance, ‘Uri Garak, Uri Madang’ is scheduled for every Sunday at Yongdusan Park by the Busan Cultural Foundation. Renowned traditional performing arts groups will perform, starting May 5 with the Anseong Baudeogi tightrope walking performance troupe.
