Main roads in Busan to reduce speed limits from 70 kph to 60 kph

The main roads in Busan will have their speed limit reduced from 70 kilometers per hour to 60 kilometers per hour from May 1. Motorists need to be careful not to exceed the new speed limit.

 

The Busan Police Agency decided to reduce the maximum speed limit on the main roads in Busan to reflect the increase in the number of slower electric vehicles on the roads, as well as to reduce the incidence of traffic accidents.

 

The designated roads include Jungang-daero(Blvd), Gaya-daero(Blvd), Geoje-daero(Blvd), Nakdong-daero(Blvd), Bansong-ro(St), Baekyang-daero(Blvd), Suyeong-ro(St), Worldcup-daero(Blvd), Haeundae-ro(St), Centum-nam-daero(Blvd) and Nakdong-nam-daero(Blvd).

Busan’s expressways, highways, national highways and freight transport relief roads in the outskirts of the city will remain at their current speed limits.
