On April 1, Busan Museum of Art opened a Children’s Museum on its B1 floor. An official with the museum said: “The Children’s Museum comprises two exhibition halls and two education rooms and we will offer various educational programs to help develop children’s creativeness and artistic taste.”

To celebrate the opening, the museum is holding a special event from April 2 called “The picture that I draw is…” The event displays artworks made using various materials and methods, as a means of helping young visitors find a style of art that suits them. The program is aimed at kindergarten and elementary school students, and runs until the end of August.

The museum will also be hosting the “To draw myself” program from April to July, at which visitors will learn how to do self portraits; and “Introducing the Museum of Art” (May 22 and June 26), where children can roam all around the museum and sketch what they see.

The Children’s Museum is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (closed on Mondays), and admission is free. Anyone wishing to take part in the programs must book in advance, and the museum are taking individual and groups reservations from the 20th of every month.
