Haeundae and Songjeong Train Stations to Move to New Locations from December 2, 2013.

Korail’s Busan/Gyeongnam branch announced that the Haeundae and Songjeong Train Stations will move to new locations due to the opening of a new railway route between Allak and Gijang on December 2, 2013.


The new route is part of a railway construction project on the Donghae Nambu line, which runs from Busan to Pohang. The new railway line is roughly 2.6 km shorter than the current route, and promises to shave about five minutes off commuting time. . 


The coastal train route from Haeundae to Songjeong via Cheongsapo will be operated until December 1, 2013. The new Haeundae and Songjeong stations will begin operations from December 2, 2013.   


The new Haeundae station is located in front of the Busan Army Hospital, and the new Songjeong Station is across from Songjeong Elementary School.


Directions to new train stations

To Haeundae Station by local bus

Take bus no. 38, 63, 100-1, 115-1, 181, 1001 or 1001 (late night bus) and get off at Dongbu Apartment Bus Stop.


To Songjeong Station by local bus

Take bus no. 38,39,40,63,100,139,182,200,182 (late night bus) or 1003 (late night bus) and get off at Songjeong Station Bus Stop.
