BPA to build 'Korean Shipping & Ports Pavilion'
Busan Port Authority (BPA) is actively promoting Busan Harbor, targeting 2012 Yeosu Expo visitors from around the world. The BPA is operating a 'Korean Shipping & Ports Pavilion' in Yeosu Expo, that opened on May 12, in collaboration with the Korea Shipowners' Association and the Port Authorities of Incheon, Ulsan, Yeosu, and Gwangyang. Yeosu Expo is the first major exhibition event on such a grand scale being held in Korea since the nation hosted the Daejeon Expo in 1993.
The BPA's Korean Shipping & Ports Pavilion is 1,100m2, and under 3 main themes - Opening The Ocean, Making The Ocean, and Dream The Ocean - it aims to publicize the transformations taking place at Busan Port, the world's 5th busiest container port, through the North Port Redevelopment, Project, and the New Port Development Plan.
