A public outdoor swimming pool will open at Hwamyeong Ecological Park, Deokcheon-dong, Buk-gu from June 29 through August 25. The 10,000 square meter facility will be operated by the Busan Nakdong River Project Management Office.
There is a 2,500 square-meter adult-only pool, a 300 square-meter children-only pool, a water entertainment pool and convenience facilities including changing rooms, parasols, restrooms, lockers, shaded areas and a medical room for swimmers’ safety.
The pool will be open only weekends from June 29 through July 14. Starting from July 15, it will be open every day.
Opening hours are from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekdays and from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. on weekends and public holidays. The price is 4,000 won for adults, 3,000 won for youths and 2,000 won for children.
The wearing of a swimsuit and a swimming cap in the pool is compulsory and parents must accompany their children in the water.
The pool may be closed due to inclement weather conditions.
How to get there: Take Metro Line No. 2 to Sujeong Station then leave by Exit No. 3, or take Bus No. 15, 59, 111, 121, 126 or 1009 and get off at Sujeong Station.
