Haeundae, Songjeong, Gwangalli, and Songdo beaches were open from June 1st through September 10th. Three other beaches―Ilgwang, Imnang, and Dadaepo―will be open for swimming from July 1st through August 31st.

To ensure clean, safe and pleasant beaches, the beach facilities have been improved. Also, a variety of summer programs, including marine sports, cultural performances and experience events, are scheduled.

Each beach in Busan has unique features to enjoy.

Haeundae Beach

Location: Jung-dong, Haeundae-gu

Directions: Metro Line 2, Haeundae Station (Exit 3 or 5) Walk approximately 600m to Haeundae Beach.

Visitors to Haeundae Beach will be using a “smart beach system” to rent beach gear. Instead of using cash to rent parasols or tubes, or to use locker rooms or showers, patrons will pay with vouchers purchased via their mobile phones, credit cards or cash.

For the safety of beachgoers, nets will be installed in the sea to block jellyfish, and an offshore current emergency response team will be on duty as well.

Haeundae Beach will be filled with exciting summer events and performances from July through August.

A 200-tent campsite will be operated in one area of the beach. To attract campers, “Music Concert with Campers” will be held every Friday and Saturday from July.  You can also enjoy sports such as beach soccer and beach volleyball in the beach sports zone.

Children’s favorite characters signs will be placed at each beach watchtower, so children will be able to easily locate themselves.

Every Saturday and Sunday at 8 pm from July, the beach street will be transformed into a car-free zone, where you can enjoy festivals and a variety of cultural performances.
