Permanent marine sports programs on offer throughout the year

The Busan is offering three marine sports programs yachting, sea kayaking and rafting throughout the year for residents.

The permanent program has three two-day courses with an enrollment quota of 20 persons per course for eight hours a day at the Haeundae Yachting Center. One course is being held on weekends, another on Tuesday and Wednesday and a third on Thursday and Friday.

Participants will have to pay somecosts, such as insurance fees and buy their own manuals.

In the mean time, the municipal government plans to operate a marine sports academy on 11 sports, including cruising, dinghy yachting, canoeing and windsurfing, at 10 venues. Major venuces include all its beaches and the Nakdong River, in the metropolitan area for seven months beginning from April.
