Seoul-Gyeongju and Seoul-Jeonju free shuttle bus services for international tourists to Korea began on June 1. This initiative was made by the Visit Korea Year Committee in an effort to promote the local tourism industry by attracting more foreign visitors away from the capital city area, where the country has the high concentration of international tourists.

The shuttle buses run six times a week except Mondays from June to December, and the same service also will be available between Busan and Gyeongju starting July 1. The buses circulate between the Gwanghwamun (Seoul) and the Concord Hotel (Gyeongju), the Gwanghwamun (Seoul) and the Rivera Hotel (Jeonju), and the Concord Hotel (Gyeongju) and the Lotte Hotel(Busan) and the Paradise Hotel(Busan). Internet, DVD, earphones, etc., are provided to ensure a comfortable travel for passengers; leaflets, tourist maps, and souvenir are offered as well. English and Japanese speaking tour guides also are available to provide historical and cultural information of the destinations.

The service is open to all international tourists and foreign residents in Korea; however, you must register in advance at the official web site of the Visit Korea Year Committee (http://english.visitkoreayear.com/english/benefit/benefit_07_01_01.asp). Each tourist is limited to two tickets.
