Tokyo, Japan - A delegation from the Busan-Jinhae Free Economic Zone Authority, in collaboration with the Busan Port Authority and the Korea International Trade Association, hosted a Korea-Japan Logistics Forum on April 24 at the Tokyo Hotel.

A total of 37 companies, 15 from Korea and 22 from Japan, attended the event, many showing great interest in the Busan New Port.

The major purpose of the forum was to support and encourage the forming of consortiums between Korean and Japanese logistics companies. The seminar introduced the Busan New Port by highlighting its ideal location and high tech logistics system. Successful case studies were used showing cooperation among Korean, Japanese and Chinese logistics companies. After the seminar one-on-one meetings followed between Korean and Japanese companies.

In June, the Busan Port Authority will select approved companies to reside in the second logistics site of 85 acres among those who filed their applications during May 29 – 30.
