The APEC host city, Busan, successfully completed its mission. Busan Metropolitan City will continually hold special events in return for Busan citizens who endured inconvenience and acted harmoniously during the Busan APEC Summit Conference.

Busan City will open the main facilities, including the APEC Convention Hall, Bexco IT Exhibition Hall, and Media Center for two days on November 20th and 21st. The opening hours are from 10:00 AM to 5:00PM. For public convenience, a shuttle bus will go around Bexco and Dong-baek Island.
The APEC Convention Hall on the second floor at BEXCO will continue to open to public from November 22nd to the end of November.

The second conference hall, Nurimaru APEC House on Dong-baek Island, will have a limited number of visitors, up to 5000 a day, because space is limited. Entry will be on a first-come-first-served basis. The Nurimaru APEC House will continue to open to public from November 22nd to the end of February.

Busan mayor Hur Nam-sik will personally deliver appreciative words to Busan citizens through an official press conference on November 21st. On that day, the mayor will make his position clear by saying the prestige of Busan has been successfully enhanced through hosting APEC and Busan won by virtue of public sacrifice and participation. Moreover, Mayor Hur will give his word that he will devote all his strength to developing Busan into an international city and also apologize for any inconveniences that were caused by the Gwangalli fireworks show.

On November 27th, the city will present a Citizens' Festival in celebration for hosting APEC successfully, with celebratory performances by star entertainers. The event invites 3500 Busan citizens to Busan KBS Hall. Sooner or later, the city is planning on sending appreciative correspondence, under the name of the mayor, to five to six thousand eminent persons from various circles. Also, volunteer workers who helped with the event on their own initiative are invited to a party in appreciation early next month.
