A free bus-to-bus transfer system operated from May 13th although the public bus fare was increased from 900 won to 1,000 won by cash and from 800 won to 950 won by the transportation card at the same time.

How to use the free bus-to-bus transfer

1. The bus fares have to be paid by the transportation card.

2. It is valid for only one transfer within half an hour from alighting the first bus.

3. A transfer cannot be accepted if it is issued by the same bus number (same route).

4. A transfer is issued to all passengers except those who ride free and children under 12 years old.

5. When boarding and alighting from a bus, the transportation card should be placed over the card reading machine.

6. This free transfer benefit is only for one person and only by use of a transportation card.

7. If the transferred bus fare is higher than the first bus fare, the difference has to be paid.

8. Subway, Town Bus, Airport Limousine Bus are all excluded.

The Busan government's plan is to expand the transportation fare discount system on transfers from Subway and Town buses as well as increase the number of bus-to-bus transfers.
