Busan Transportation Corporation announced that starting from March 2, it would offer a 7-day subway pass which can be used up to 20 times on the entire subway network for 7 days for just 17,000 won.

The 7-day pass is expected to gain popularity among students, long time travelers, and sales persons.

To ride a subway with a 7-day pass, at first, you have to purchase a commuter card for 2,000 won and then charge it with 17,000 won from the transportation card recharge machine at subway stations. A 7-day pass fare can also be recharged to follow an expired one-month pass card.

The 7-day pass will save passengers up to 27 percent of the regular transportation card fare. Riding through 2 sections of the subway line (ie. journeys of longer than 10 kilometers) 20 times in 7 days with the regular transportation card would require 23,400 won, so with the pass passengers can save 6,400 won.

Busan Transportation Corporation has already introduced two other kinds of commuter pass for subway passengers – a one-day pass, which costs 3,500 won and can be used for an unlimited number of subway journeys on the date of purchase, and a one-month pass, which costs 45,000 won and allows up to 60 journeys in 30 days.
