On July 22, Busan City announced that Chinese actor Hawick Lau (Liu Kai Wei) and rising star Liu Ying have been appointed honorary ambassadors for the city, a role that will see them promote Busan tourism in China.
Lau, one of the most popular actors in China, has been in many Chinese TV dramas, movies and advertisements. New comer Lui Ying, also known as Ying Er, was recently catapulted to fame following her role as princess Hyang-hyang in the popular TV drama "Seogeomeunsurok".
In appointing the two Chinese stars as its honorary ambassadors for tourism, Busan City sees a great opportunity to publicize the city's tourism to more Chinese tourists.
