Masterpieces from Saint Etienne in Busan

The exhibition ‘Monet to Warhol: Masterpieces from the Saint Etienne Museum of Modern Art’ will take place from September 7 until December 11 at the Busan Museum of Art, Haeundae-gu District.

 

The Busan Museum of Art is co-organizing this special exhibition with the Chosun Ilbo and KNN in collaboration with the Saint Etienne Museum of Modern Art. ‘Monet to Warhol’ will feature 112 works from masters such as Claude Monet, Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, Fernand Leger, Jean Dubuffet, Gilbert & George, Andy Warhol, Tom Wesselmann, Frank Stella, Roy Lichtenstein, Yves Klein, and Yves Tanguy among others.

 

This exhibition features modern and contemporary art after 1900 including from Impressionism to Avant-Garde in Europe, Pop Art, Nouveau Réalisme, American minimal art, German concept art and Arte Povera in Italy.

 

Previously, the exhibition took place at Daejeon Museum of Art from May 25 through August 28, 2011.
