The Busan Foundation for International Activities is holding an international training program for experts in the field of urban planning for members of Busan’s Sister and Friendship Cities from May 25 through June 8, 2014.
A total of 18 participants from Bangkok in Thailand, Cebu in the Philippines, Ho Chi Minh in Vietnam, Phnom Penh in Cambodia, Surabaja in Indonesia and Yangon in Myanmar will share and discuss issues concerning urban planning, development, the economy, and the environment.
Beginning with the opening ceremony on May 26, participants will study problems and solutions regarding new town initiatives and economic development for seven days. From June 2, lectures and field trips on water supply and drainage management, advanced marine and port fields will take place for six days. Joint research and workshops for the application of Busan’s advanced fields to its sister cities are also scheduled to be held for mutual city development.
